Sorry I didn't post last week, no excuses- I just didn't have anything planned, haha. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. As you can tell I was in California for the past few days. So fun, so Cal. My parents and I flew out there to visit my family in Palm Springs (and do a little shopping...hehe). THE SHOPPING IS INCREDIBLE. Like, for real, outlet shopping to the max- we are talking All Saints, Alice & Olivia, Valentino, Maje, Rag & Bone, Ted Baker (sale-sale-sale). Going broke, saving money... We decided to go ahead and look for a prom dress... yes, prom isn't until April- but hey, the stores were great, so why not. I found a pretty dress at BCBG, it needs some alterations, but we went ahead and bought it. Then, of course, we walk into Ted Baker and I find, literally, the most gorgeous dress (and it fits like a glove)- so we had to buy that one too! Thanks BCBG for having all your sales final! Haha I left California with 2 prom dresses...maybe I'll get asked to senior prom??? Idk, a girl can dream. If you want a sneak peak of my dresses- go check out my vsco :) We also went to the mothership, yes, I am talking about Sephora. I got a bunch of new goodies that I am excited to share with you guys. Maybe a haul??
On to the outfits! It was weird packing for this trip because it just got cold in KY, and it was 100 degrees in Cali... sooooo my internal season clock is all out of wack now. But isn't this top cute!!! I took it to NYC, and I was going to take pics of it while I was there...but my sticky bra fell off in the subway from the humidity- SO THOSE PICS DIDN'T HAPPEN..oops. Sticky bra- don't do it if it's hot out-I repeat DO NOT DO IT. Anyways, I'm glad I got to save that top for this trip, ha. Guys, if you don't own a pair of heeled booties- go get them- like, now. They are great! Booties boost your outfit from a 6 to a 10, and you will feel SO CONFIDENT in them. That is my cousin, Erin, in the supa cute overalls. She has the best style. Her Valentino sunglasses... OK- I was so envious of them all weekend- they are amazing. AND HER GOYARD BAG- I have no words. She is fabulous. It was so fun, after we went to Sephora we did face masks and exchanged makeup tricks. Good times, good times. Anywayyyyyys, I hope everyone is having a great start to fall. XOXOXOXOXO, Emma

Also, go follow her on Instagram, @xoxoamandamichelle. Hey guys! I have a little collab for y'all today. This is one of my favorite blogging friends, Amanda! You might of seen her on my blog a few months ago, if you've been following me for awhile. Amanda and I both started school recently. BOOOOO! We thought it was only appropriate to give some fashion advice to anyone starting school soon. This is actually the outfit I wore on the first day of Junior year (minus the dark lips and rockin' shades, haha). After a long summer without seeing your classmates, it is essential to go back looking your best (but not too try hard). My number one advice to anyone and everyone is to keep it simple. Don't over accessorize or be 150% glam chic... Save that for the second week of school. ;) The first day is when you should come back looking like you tried, but didn't spend hours curling your hair. If you want to look like you just walked off the runway, you do you. I'm sure all my friends can testify that I over dress for school. But hey, I like it, and I'm a fashion blogger. YOU GOTTA DO YOU. DRESS DON'T STRESS. Hahah! My pictures were taken in NYC. *Sigh, tear drop, tear drop.* I miss it so much!!! As you can tell this was a flower pickin' and sniffin' kinda day. I was in Central Park by the Upper West Side. Holy moly. I love the Upper West Side. It is so freaking cute!! There were so many shops and cute buildings without millions of tourists around. Love it. Love it. Love it. One day I will live there, just you wait, my blog reading friends, just you wait. Hope everyone has a fabulous week! Emma Engilman GO FOLLOW ME:
