Each day I wake up and still cannot believe that I am actually in Germany! It is incredibly beautiful here. We started this fabulous Sunday by having a traditional Easter breakfast including: the chocolate Easter Lamb, lots of yummy bread, and so much ham (in love)!! We then searched the garden for all the goodies that the Easter Bunny brought us. Chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate, I'd say it sounds like the bunny knows me quite well, haha! Then, we took a boat to Konigssee. From the pictures, you can tell that it is gorgeous. It was snowing a little, but that didn't matter because the mountains were so perfect. After, we drove up a tiny winy winding road to Obersalzberg. This is where Hitler lived and made many of his political plans. It was really fascinating to learn more about Hitler and some of Germany's history. I never realized how much people loved Hitler before he started the camps. I always knew that he was well respected, but a video we watched talked about how people would take stones and rocks that he had walked on because he had touched them. He was almost treated like a god. Andie said that it is something you wish you could forget, but it is a good thing to learn about so that it never happens again. We saw the bomb shelter that was under the mountain. It was huge! It was honestly like a maze, we couldn't get out! Once we were home we went to a pub in Traunstein. I, once again, had wiener schnitzel... and it was equally as good. Yummy! After dinner Andie and I decided not to eat any more chocolate, but of course I couldn't just sit there with my Milka Easter chocolate staring me right in the face; I had a mere 6 pieces. Diet? What's that?
