Hello friends! Sorry I'm just now posting- the past 24 hours have been crazy. Anyways yesterday we went to the castle Herrenchiemsee. It was beautiful! It was modeled after Versailles as a tribute to King Louis. The German king who actually owned this castle only stayed in part of it for a total of 10 days. This castle was never finished due to the fact that the king ran out of money. 70 rooms were left uncompleted, and those rooms actually were some of my favorite! The plain brick walls... I'm a sucker for bricks. There was a dining table made after an old German folk tale (the table would magically set itself). The table was built on an elevator and when the king would eat there, the servants would have to lower the table, set it, then raise it back up... "magic." Where is my 'table set your self?' That would make Thanksgiving 100000X easier. Haha. Then later we got all gussied up into our fancy clothes and pretty makeup and drove to Munich. That night we saw the ballet Romeo and Juliet. It was amazing. It made me want to dance, then I would remember that me trying to dance is the ugliest, most ungraceful thing ever... LOL I'll just stick to watching. I wish I could have taken more pictures but you weren't allowed to inside the castle or during the ballet. Sorry y'all!
Hugs and kisses, and more hugs!
