my life & the look:
Hello, hello, hello, hello!! It's been a long time since I've posted an actual fashion related post... SORRY Y'ALL! I've been trying to mix things up, so I hope everyone liked my 'travel' posts. While the traveling was fun, it is nice to get back into my fashion swing of things. For the past few months, Cassie Tatum (my best friend, photographer, and favorite fashion friend) has worked so hard on an amazing dress that she designed for the KMAC Fashion Show here in Louisville, KY. And because we are fashion buddies I got to go to the fashion show and help out with her models makeup. So fun, right? Anyways, I will have a post up by Wednesday in FULL DETAIL of the show and everything we did to get ready. The theme for the fashion show was all white. I got this dress on Wednesday, and let me tell you, it is hard trying to find the perfect outfit when it has to be so specific!! At the mall my mom and I went to literally every store... It was a long shopping trip, but I am so excited that I got this outfit. Super cute. This is actually a crop top and a skirt, which is nice because the separate pieces can be styled in other ways. I paired this not-a-dress dress with my pointy toed nude heels. Since this skirt is so long, I felt that I needed to elongate my legs and the nude shoe does just that. If you were to pair this with flats or something that cuts across your foot it would make your legs look shorter and stubbier (and no one wants that). The nude pump gives the illusion that your legs are longer than they actually are, win win win!! For my makeup I wanted something that would really pop because I had no color anywhere else. Of course I am going to wear a bright red lip (that color rocks doesn't it? In love with it!!). I went a little crazy with my eye makeup. I have never worn bright colors on my eyes, I usually try to stick with more natural colors (golds, browns, etc.). However, I actually really like how this turned out! I put green under my eyes and then swept it up into a cat eye. Hmmm... maybe I will do a makeup tutorial on my Youtube for this look... Thoughts??
