I am so excited to be doing my very first makeup haul! Today I went shopping, and of course, had to check out the holiday makeup collections. I bought the Mac "Objects of Affection Pigments" in rose. I also looked the Two Faced "Everything Nice Set" and I plan on buying it soon. I love buying holiday sets because they are great values. You get a little bit of everything for a cheaper price.
Perricone MD- $75
I have heard great reviews on this makeup, so I had to give it a try. This kit is fabulous. It is great if you are trying out this brand for the first time. It includes a mini foundation, liquid blush, mascara, lipstick, and moisturizer. The foundation applies perfectly to your skin, and doesn't look heavy. Also, the liquid blush adds a glow to your cheeks. I definitely recommend this set.
Mac- "Objects of Affection Pigments" $35
I had never tried Mac's pigments until now. I've always heard great things about them, so I was super excited when I bought them. Apparently they can be used for almost anything- eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, nail polish, lipstick etc.. I have yet to test if that's true or not! This is just pigments, nothing else, so it does apply a little differently than your average eyeshadow. I swatched the colors onto my arm. Personally, I like the 2nd and last colors from this set. The 4th color is pure glitter and was very difficult just to swatch. I can imagine that it would fall off when you wear it. If you purchase this set, I recommend also buying the Mac Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel. It is $17.50. This can be used under the pigments. This allows the pigments something creamy to grasp to, and boost the color of them.
Mac also did a fabulous job with the packaging this year. I adore the boxes and beauty bags each of their sets comes in.
Since I am a Sephora VIB Insider, I got this Urban Decay eyeshadow and eyeliner kit for 500 points. This is one of the best rewards for your points I've seen in a long time. If you have 500 points saved up, I recommend using them!
